Eligibility

Who should apply.

  • Practising technical analysts, research analysts and portfolio managers with demonstrable experience in Indian or global markets.
  • Academicians and researchers in finance, econometrics, quantitative studies or behavioural finance.
  • Educators and trainers with a documented record in market analysis education.
  • Chartered Market Technicians (CMT), CFTe, MFTA and equivalent professionals.
  • Institutional and corporate stakeholders interested in supporting the Society’s formation.
Responsibilities

Founding member responsibilities.

  • Uphold the Society’s Code of Ethics and professional standards.
  • Contribute time and expertise to committees, working groups or the journal.
  • Participate in the first general body meeting and constitutional discussions.
  • Support the Society’s educational and research programmes as reasonably requested.
  • Declare conflicts of interest promptly.

Selection Process

Applications are reviewed by the Membership Committee after incorporation. The Committee may request additional information and communicates decisions in writing.

Ethics Declaration

All founding members sign an ethics declaration and agree to be bound by the Society’s Code of Ethics.

Professional Conduct

Founding members shall not use the Society’s name for personal commercial benefit or misrepresentation.

Expected Contributions

Time and expertise. There is no financial obligation at expression-of-interest stage; membership fees, if any, will be published after registration.

Voting Rights

Founding members receive voting rights in the general body after incorporation and constitutional adoption.

Recognition

Founding members are publicly acknowledged in the Society’s Awards Yearbook and, subject to eligibility, on the Society’s website.

Founding Circle

Priority access to committees, working groups and pre-launch programmes such as the journal and certifications.

Benefits

Free access to the inaugural conference registration for founding members, subject to logistical arrangements.

What Founding Members Shape

Founding members are not passive supporters. They participate in the drafting of the constitution, the ethics framework, the academic roadmap and the research programme.

Constitution & Bylaws

Contribute to the drafting of the Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association filed with the Registrar of Companies.

Pillar 02

Code of Ethics

Help draft and adopt the Society’s Code of Ethics, disciplinary framework and standards of professional conduct.

Pillar 03

Academic Programme

Contribute to the curriculum of the proposed Professional Development Programme, examination framework and CPE policy.

Pillar 04

Research Agenda

Set the initial research agenda of the Society across Elliott Wave, Neo Wave, cycles, quantitative and behavioural finance.

Pillar 05

Journal Editorial Standards

Shape the editorial policy, review protocol and publication ethics of the Journal of Technical Market Research.

Pillar 06

National & International Outreach

Help build early relationships with universities, exchanges, industry bodies and international counterparts.
